Fry 'Em Not Once But Twice: The Filling Station Wins Best Fries In Rockland

The Filling Station, with locations in West Haverstraw and Palisades, took home 53 percent of the vote in our recent DVlicious contest, winning first place for best french fries in Rockland County.

“It’s nice to be recognized by the community. A lot effort goes into the fries, being hand-cut and made fresh everyday,” said Manager Matthew Safko.

Never frozen and freshly-cut, TFS' fry-making process involves first soaking the fries and then frying them twice to achieve a nice crispiness.

If you haven’t been to either Filling Station location you’re missing out on “the best burgers and fries, hot dogs, ice cream that Rockland County has to offer,” Safko added. And you're also missing out on their signature dipping sauces, like the ancho chili mayo, blue cheese dip, and the truffle aioli.
